Wilbra was born in 1951 with the acquisition of the German company “Wilhem Brauns”
Wilbra was established in 1951, in Desio, Italy, with the acquisition of the German company “Wilhem Brauns” by Giuseppe Fossati. Giuseppe was a representative of Brauns and decided to found Wilbra together with a fellow chemist.
The production focused on satisfying the needs of shoemakers
In those years, Wilbra’s catalog included a great variety of products, such as colors, floor waxes, aromas for perfumes and extracts for beverages. Already after the first few years, production was focused on meeting the needs of the many shoemakers it supplied, making waxes and repair products for them.
A linear path of technological development and production increase
Ever since then Wilbra has been able to grow following a linear path of technological development and production increase, always offering the best product of the moment up to the current standards of specialization and quality. From the first small shed we have reached today’s three factories, which are spread over a total of 11,000 square meters, of which 6,000 are covered. The machinery we have at our disposal today is the most modern and allows a fast and flexible production, with a wide assortment of colors and various formats.

The quality of our products is guaranteed by the constant purchase of raw materials, chosen from primary and certified suppliers, and by the control of all the phases of production of the formulations, according to an experience tested and refined over the course of over half a century.
